It was great to welcome the Beavers back again this week, and to meet several new faces. As well as getting to know each other again after the summer break, we thought about what it might be like to live with a disability, like only having one arm or not being able to see, and played some games to try this out. Beavers are working towards their ‘Disability Awareness’ badge, and can complete some of this at home by finding out more about one of our Paralympic athletes.
Welcome to Buxted Scouts
The group has been running without break since 1909 and is still going strong. Beavers meet on Thursday evenings (5-6.15pm). Cubs meet on Wednesday and Thursday ( 5.30-7pm / 6.30-8pm). Scouts on Tuesday and Wednesday (7-9pm) and Explorers on Fridays. We meet every week during school term times. Anyone aged between 6 and 18 can join us as scouts and anyone over 18 can join as a leader or adult helper.
As well as our weekly meetings we run regular camps and take part in a wide range of district activities with other scouts across East Sussex.
